Liberty Belle Chorus
Mater Director Jim Arns is director of Melodeers Chorus of Northbrook, IL since 1988.
Under the direction of Jim Arns, the Melodeers chorus has received 4 consecutive first place
International Championship Gold Medals. Jim has served as principal arranger for all of the
Melodeers' recordings, including their latest releases, 4Ever Melodeers and Enjoy the Ride.
In addition to directing the Melodeers, Jim has built an international reputation as director,
arranger, clinician, and coach. He has also served as faculty at numerous regional,
national, and international educational symposiums.
Jim earned his Bachelor of Music Degree at Benedictine University and his Masters of
Music Degree from Northwestern University. He is in demand, both as a chorus and quartet
coach and as an arranger of various music styles. Jim travels around the world coaching
choruses and quartets, when he's not at home with the Melodeers.
